That is great for her but OMFG - an 8 year old married - to a 28 year old. That is obscene. As ”Yemen has no law governing the minimum age of marriage” one must wonder if this means that as there is likely no law against marrying livestock or vegetables if this is also possible in that culture ? Yemen would do well to alter its legal system or be branded as something disgusting to the world.

This is unforgivable! At 8, the female child can’t decide for herself. Her father might be sick. How can he ever allow his daughter to get married at a very young age. Protection of the child should be prioritized in Yemen to avoid another incident like this.
